As communication assistant, Madison supports a variety of tasks within the Strategic Engagement department, with an emphasis on social media, graphic design, and email marketing.

Madison graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and an additional major in public relations, with a minor in graphic design. Her parents, who both earned master's degrees, inspired her to prioritize education and instilled a desire to be a "forever student." Postsecondary education gave Madison the opportunity to explore her passion for writing and gave her a foundation to use communication skills to serve her community.

Prior to joining MCAN, Madison worked as an editorial intern at Better Homes and Gardens magazine in Des Moines, Iowa. Her work has been published in Better Homes and Gardens, the Brief, and Spartan Newsroom.

Outside of work, Madison enjoys volunteering with the East Lansing Environmental Stewardship program and East Lansing Farmers Market. She also enjoys spending time with her partner, her cat, and her houseplants.
