Under the supervision of the Director of Administration and Human Resources, the Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource area of responsibility, including hiring and interviewing staff and AmeriCorps members; administering employee records, benefits, and leave; and supporting organizational policies and practices.
MCAN’s College Completion Corps will place full-time AmeriCorps members on community college campuses to supplement campus efforts to increase persistence and completion for students who have the most college success barriers. Working in partnership with professional campus staff, coaches will organize learning sessions for small groups, coordinate 1:1 meetings with students, and provide reminders of key activities. The purpose of this program is to assist students with their acclimation to campus, build their knowledge of campus systems and resources, and help them successfully persist to completion.
AdviseMI, in close partnership with Michigan colleges and universities, seeks to help more Michigan students pursue postsecondary education. Serving alongside high school counselors and other school professionals, advisers will support students as they explore postsecondary options, complete the college-going steps, and make the transition from high school to college.

As a Director of K–12, Strategic Account Manager, you are a key member of the team that supports College Board partnerships across the Midwest Region, including the vibrant and diverse educational landscape of Michigan and a second state territory, as assigned. You are directly responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders at schools, districts, state agencies, and/or associations within your assigned territory.
The College Success Coach will assist students as they transition from high school to college; provide continued holistic support during the college years, including any crisis intervention and assistance with securing basic needs; provide navigation of relevant information regarding campus and community resources; help students develop an understanding of Financial Aid/FAFSA/loans/scholarships; and mentor Community Scholars on academic and personal goals.
Responsible for advising Early Middle College students and supporting their transition into college by fostering essential soft skills for academic and career success. Monitors and tracks student progress, collaborates with local schools on Educational Development Plans (EDPs) and recruitment efforts, and collects and analyzes data to inform program decisions. Serves as a liaison between high schools and college, while actively promoting, developing, and sustaining the Early College Allegan County program, including coordination of the summer College Success Class.
The Vice President of Collective Action, K12 & Youth Development (VPCA) is responsible for leading all aspects of APA’s work in its ‘Aligning K12 Education and Youth Development’ issue area. This includes both ensuring membership in the Alliance Community leads to significant organizational improvement for participating organizations and uniting them in powerful collective action. The VPCA is responsible for (1) the identification and execution of collective action initiatives, (2) management of the 75+ member organizations working in this issue area, and (3) the growth of members and programming in this issue area over time.
The Senior Director of Postsecondary Strategy will be responsible for a multifaceted portfolio of work centered on making higher education more student-ready for diverse students with complex lives.
Reporting to the Vice President of Program, the Director of Ground Building is responsible for ensuring that the Foundation maximizes opportunities to build youth, educator, and neighborhood power to shift policy and systems at the city, county/region, and state levels in service of more equitable education systems for Detroit students.
The Policy Lead serves as a content expert, bringing nuanced knowledge of and experience working in education policy as it relates to equitable opportunities for students of color and students from low-income backgrounds in the state of Michigan. This role supports team leadership in setting the direction, goals, and work plan for Michigan’s policy and advocacy agenda and leads the implementation of policy and research projects across the K-12 and higher ed spectrum in coordination with the EdTrust National office.
