The Personal Curriculum is a process to modify specific Michigan Merit Curriculum credit requirements and content expectations based on the individual learning needs of a student as well as their post-school goals. It is designed to serve students who want to accelerate or go beyond MMC requirements and students who need to individualize credit requirements to meet MMC and receive a diploma. Several scenarios or case studies will be laid out for participants and there will be time for dialogue around the PC process based on those scenarios.
MCAN's High School Innovation staff and Petoskey High School counseling staff, who received the 2023-24 School of Excellence award for Michigan from the American College Application Campaign, will provide guidance on planning and executing Michigan College Month programming for a successful application season.
