MCAN has been awarded a $55,000 grant from the Native American Heritage Fund (NAHF) to improve completion rates at Michigan’s three tribal colleges.

For most workers, having some college education is now the most reliable route to a good job. Eighty-two percent of good jobs in Michigan go to workers with education beyond high school, compared to around 80 percent of good jobs nationally.

Michigan has a once-in-a-generation chance to use American Rescue Plan Act funds to help adults who come back to finish college and to take aggressive steps to re-engage the “lost classes” of 2020, 2021 and 2022 who delayed or dropped college plans.
