College Attainment Advocacy Day

Renamed to reflect our increased commitment to postsecondary student success, MCAN’s ninth annual advocacy event will take place on March 5 at the Phoenix Building in Lansing.

During last year's event, over 160 people from across the state attended 110 meetings with legislators throughout the day to rally around postsecondary access and attainment in support of Sixty by 30, in addition to other key priorities. They represented all 38 Senate districts and 91 House districts.

College Attainment Advocacy Day is the result of a collaboration among MCAN, Michigan Association for College Admission Counseling, Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, Michigan College Access Program Personnel, Michigan Promise Zones Association, Michigan Student Financial Aid Association, and OneGoal.

Limited Space Remaining

Registration for College Attainment Advocacy Day is now closed. We are thrilled that so many people in our network want to come and make their voices heard, and we have reached capacity for the number of people that we can fit into most meetings.

That said, we still have openings in a few districts and would love to welcome additional participants into those meetings. If you live or work in one of the districts below and would like to attend Advocacy Day, please email Maura McGlynn at advocacy@micollegeaccess.org so that we can get you registered.
